SCOPE OF WORK
Mr. Sibila, P.E., provided Sr. Project Engineer/Project Administration services for the improvements and modifications to the taxiway Bravo ‘B’ and associated connectors as well as the upgrades to the existing storm drainage system, new electrical and communication utilities installation, milling/resurfacing and overlay, new asphaltic and rigid pavement installation, and paving markings application. Mr. Rovira led the field coordination and documentation of the daily construction activities; Communication with the airport stakeholders, ramp control and airside operations personnel to facilitate the construction activities; Coordinate the closures and re-openings of the active runway(s) and taxiway(s) affected by the project; Tracking of the quantities for payments; Reviewed and implementation of the approved paving plan, QA/QC and SWPPP in compliance with the airports standards and specifications ; Assisted the Resident Engineer in preparing the by-weekly construction progress meetings; Reviewed the contractor’s payment requisition; Reviewed and processed the project’s correspondence and other submittals, and assisted with the final project closed out and taxiway commissioning.

Parallel taxiway “A” and Aircraft Parking Expansion Project Naples

Erik Sibila, P.E. of Eplus Engineers served as Resident Engineer on the construction of the parallel Taxiway “A” and connectors, and expansion of the existing aircraft parking area at the Marco Island Executive Airport. Installation of new drainage systems, electrical and communication utilities upgrade, asphaltic and concrete pavement installation, new lighting, signage, and pavement markings. He led the project coordination during construction and close-out phases. Liaison between the airport administration office and the main contractors. Preparation and execution of the bi-weekly construction progress meetings, implementation and review of the QA/QC plan
as well as the SWPPP following the method and procedures and applying project approved design and standards; analysis for implementation of the paving plan; tracking of quantities as part of the
review and processing of the contractor’s monthly payment requisition submittals; review and analysis of the project correspondences (RFI, shop drawings, construction schedule); claim analysis for mitigation or avoidance; review of final certified As-builts, project closed and commissioning of the Taxiway and parking apron.

MIA - Aeroterm Development
SCOPE OF WORK
CEI services and project management for the development of a 250,000 square-foot warehouse, the rehabilitation of 65,000 square feet office space, rehabilitation of 140,000 square feet of hanger space, the construction of 350,000 square feet of paved aircraft ramp and ground services equipment storage, extension of the Taxiway “K” project, and relocation of the interior service road. The Taxiway “K” Project must be completed for safety reasons associated with aircraft operations, and includes of an actual extension of the taxiway to the east along with associated ramp space. By expanding and rehabilitating the warehouse and hangar, the facility would be 632,000 square feet, including 90 truck docks and parking ramps for eight large aircraft. Scope included but not limited to Construction Inspection Services for the removal and installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer, force main, lift station, drainage, grading, electrical, and communications. Also responsible for the airside inspection of the aircraft parking apron, taxiway extension, interior service road, airfield lighting, relocation of airside security fence, signage and Maintenance of Traffic for both vehicular and aircraft movements.
